Tips for Sewing Clutch with Lace
Sewing lace onto clutch for a decorative finish is not too difficult, here are some tips to keep in mind when sewing with lace :
- Trace the pattern on lace fabric, cut each piece individually so you can see the motif, and can match it up if required;
- Put the wrong side of the lace to the right side of the underlay fabric;
- Top stitch the side seams to secure the lace and underlay, 1/4 inch from the edges;
- Sewing up the exterior and interior of the clutch.
