We’ve been designing and sewing up some clutches. Our Christine clutch sewing pattern is proving popular and so we think it would be a good idea to create some more styles.
According to the original design, the Christine clutch is made using one piece of fabric for the exterior. To make this clutch in different style, you can use many pieces of fabric sewn together and treated as one for the exterior.

In this blog, we will share a new idea on how to create a stylish clutch in patchwork design with our Christine clutch pattern. Choose a print fabric for the center and a matching solid colored fabric for the sides.

PRINT OUT THE CHRISTINE CLUTCH PATTERNS
Download and print out the patterns
Cut out the shapes and tape together along the center dotted line
MAKING THE PATTERNS FOR THE EXTERIOR PATCHWORK
Refer to the below diagrams, create 3 patterns for each panel of the exterior from the Christine clutch pattern A

CUTTING THE FABRIC PIECES
Transfer above 3 patterns to the fabrics, cut one piece for the center panel, and cut two pieces for the sided panels.
SEWING THE EXTERIOR PANELS
Put the left panel to the center panel along the side along the 8 ½” side, right sides together, using ½” seam, stitch and backtacking at both ends, press the seam. Then sew the right panel to the other side of the center panel.
FUSING AND ASSEMBLING THE EXTERIOR AND LINING
